The course identifies the different threatening situations a person can encounter. It looks at challenging behaviour, its possible causes and warning signals. The course identifies strategies that can be used to keep staff safe.
The aim of this course is to give you the skills to manage underperforming or difficult staff to the best outcome for all.
This course goes beyond the knowledge and learning outcomes of QCF Safe Handling of People qualification. Students learn the practical skills to train, coach and supervise care teams moving and handling of residents. Successful candidates would then be able to teach moving and handling refresher courses.
This three day course is designed to help those who attend the chance to gain an understanding of a little educational theory combined with the opportunity gain a practical experience in running staff training that works for their employees!
