This course is designed to help you or your staff avoid many of the challenging behaviours found in care settings every day.
Once you attend you will be able to avoid the causes of challenging behaviours and manage these behaviours.
This course will help those working with children or adults with an Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) to support their comprehension and expression using different communication strategies. This course is run by an experienced Speech and Language Therapist who is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
The course looks at how to effectively communicate with those that have dementia. And how best to support people in the different stages of dementia according to their needs.
The diabetes awareness course is aimed at all staff working in a care environment. This course can either be aimed towards those who work with adults with diabetes, or those who work with children and young people with diabetes. A general understanding of the issues associated with diabetes will be established.
