Community Events and Risk Assessment
This course shows you how to create, adapt and perform risk assessments for the safe, fun delivery of community events. The training sessions throughout the day are very practical, simple to understand, and easy to apply in the real world.
Duration: 10am to 4.30pm
By the end of the course delegates will have the knowledge to understand:
- The types of risks they face when planning and attending events with service users
- The difference between informal and formal risk assessment
- How to conduct an informal risk assessment
- How to perform a formal risk assessment
- Identify their role in keeping formal risk assessment is up to date
- How to create and adapt events for
- Older people, learning difficulties and disabilities Mental health problems
- Young people, those with allergies, problems, addictive behaviours
- People with potentially difficult behaviours and the general population

Certification
A certificate will be issued following completion of the course.
