The aim of the course is to define the principle of manual handling and to help staff to use best practice when handling loads to maintain a safe working environment.

1. Demonstrate & correct practical lifting techniques
2. Identify how to access relevant information about manual handling legislation
3. Assess risk

Delegate assessment

Delegate assessment will be completed by the use of observation and correction of lifting and teaching techniques used by delegates.
