This course helps staff understand how to deliver quality personal care and principles of care planning. The course is relevant to people who provide personal care to clients in all care settings.Staff will learn how to provide good personal care such as hair care, foot and nail care, mouth care, baths, showers ensuring that all care is person centred.

1. How to provide baths, showers according to the individuals unique needs
2. How to provide mouth care, denture care, hair care, foot and nail care according individuals unique needs
3. How to adhere to basic safety, and standard precaution principles when providing personal care
4. Knowing the importance of recording and reporting
5. Why policies and procedures have to be followed
